Generative AI and the College Research Paper

Working with the Scholarship & Research team at SMU Libraries and others from around campus, we developed early training, best practices, and policy recommendations for accommodating ChatGPT and other generative AI technologies in the college classroom.

Areas of Work

• Resources for ChatGPT in the classroom and instructional design
• Writing for the SMU Libraries blog on the teaching/learning affordances and challenges of AI
• Introductory workshops on Artificial Intelligence as part of SMU Libraries’ Scholarship & Research workshop series
• An introduction to text mining series covering relevant Machine Learning topics, including Natural Language Processing
• Additional workshop series with other campus units, including small-group faculty meetings and round-table discussions
