Role & Pillar

I served on the First Year and Gateway Courses Pillar, which aimed to enhance course design and instruction while reducing equity gaps among students.

Key Strategies Implemented

The pillar developed three main approaches:

  1. A nine-month Course Redesign Initiative targeting high-enrollment and gateway courses
  2. A Student Engagement Institute providing faculty pedagogical development opportunities
  3. Strategic placement of experienced instructors in foundational courses
